PEI conducts new draw for Skilled Workers and Entrepreneurs!

On February 16, 2023, Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) conducted its second invitation round of the year. Last month, PEI’s provincial government conducted its first PEI draw of 2023. 

The February 16th PEI PNP draw issued Invitations to Apply (ITA) to 228 Skilled Worker and Entrepreneur candidates.

Who was invited?

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur: 6 invitations with a minimum score of 70. 
• Labor & Express Entry: 222 invitations.

Over the last 12 months, the Prince Edward Island PNP has issued a total of 121 invitations to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur candidates and 1,929 invitations to Labor & Express Entry candidates.

• Business Work Permit Entrepreneur invitations over the last 12 months - 6%
• Labor & Express Entry invitations over the last 12 months - 94%

Immigrating to PEI in 2023

Candidates wanting to apply for a provincial nomination under the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) are required to create a profile in the province’s Expression of Interest (EOI) system. Eligible candidates are placed in the pool of qualifying candidates and assigned a CRS score based on their profile. The highest-ranking candidates are invited to submit an application during periodic draws.

Prince Edward Island issues ITAs to eligible candidates on a monthly basis, with some exceptions. The frequency, size, and date of the Prince Edward Island PNP next draw prediction – are determined by the needs of the PNP’s application inventory and the announced PEI draw schedule 2023.
